I’m dreaming of a white shoe…
The white color has been presented in all 2018 autumn winter catwalks taking a revenge on his never missing opponent: the black color. From total white outfit and accessories to combination with other colors like blue, grey, beige and even red, the non-color white has become a must for the winter season. It is versatile and gives a luminous effect to any look.
CHECK THIS OUT
Check, tartan and pied de poule fabrics are a must have for this winter season. The tradition of red, green and blue is always present, but there are also new combinations and innovative interpretations, capable of surprising with a rock touch like yellow together with black.
RED PASSION
For day and night, red is a fundamental color for this winter 2018. An intense red not declined in other shades.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Summer is a season strictly linked to colors. And rainbow is the symbol of colors. That’s why this magical phenomenon has inspired the designers for the ready to wear and accessories collections of this Summer 2018. Clothes, shoes and bags become a mix of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. It’s time to wear these colors all together.
YELLOW MELLOW
Yellow is one of the colour presented during the spring summer 2018 catwalks. It’s the symbol of light, it’s energetic and vitaminic. It can be matched with the intense shades of violet and blue, or it can be combined with a white or black look. A yellow sandal or a yellow décolleté can can also complete a floral outfit.
Velvet Third Session: Red, blue and grey.
Velvet again: for me the most important trend for this winter season. This material has been used for everything: dresses, skirts, trousers, blouses and shoes, and interiors. In this session I point out the different nuances of three more classic colors as red, blue and grey.
Velvet Interiors. Second Session: Green
Velvet, this elegant material, shows off itself also in the green color. In interiors design it can warm white or light grey rooms. So in clothing, it can matches with a white sneaker or a white t-shirt, with a blue denim, or with a light grey angora wool sweater. Or you can coordinate two pieces of clothing which have the same color range of green but are realized in different fabrics.

KVADRAT X ADIDAS
Adidas Originals and Kvadrat, one of Europe’s leading textile manufacturers, have presented a new collaboration. They have created a really special edition of the iconic Stan Smith sneakers. The idea was born in Denmark and has been inspired by Copenhagen, by the design and the mix of Japanese and modern aesthetic values which characterized the city. Danish artisans of Kvadrat, appreciated for their creativity and the quality of their production, have applied their know-how to three new Stan Smiths, using the fabric “Square” by Danish designer Vibeke Rohland.
The total white Stan Smith sneakers, homage to the homonymous American tennis champion, since they were launched in the 70’s they have never stopped to fascinate. This because of their simple look, characterized by the absence of the classic three Adidas strips, and for their versatility that makes them suitable for everyday use or, with a bit of irony, for even more formal occasions.

Flower Power
A romantic mood is invading our lives: flowers are blooming on shoes and walls.
Velvet interiors. First session: pink.
This winter too "velvet" is one of the main trends. Pink is the new colour besides blue, green and burgundy which were already presented last year. In the interior design as well as for fashion accessories, the pink color perfectly matches with gold and brass.
BIRKENSTOCK SLEEPING SYSTEMS
The footwear brand Birkenstock breaks the boundaries between fashion and interiors launching, at this year’s IMM Cologne furniture fair, six new sleeping systems.
The same principles adopted for creating shoes have been applied in making beds. The feel-good element of the German made sandals has been traslated into mattresses. Just as the Birkenstock footbed fits the natural form of the foot, these mattresses recognise and adapt to the natural contours of the body, ensuring a healthy, restful sleep; healthy stance and healthy position when laying down are complementary aspects of the same well-being philosophy.
To realize the project, the brand has collaborated with Germany's Ergonomie Institut München and has worked with the Austrian upholstered furniture manufacturer ADA. Several of the bases feature undulating beech wood slats in different shapes for various body types. Another bed base features elastic discs that are made of cork, like the brand's shoes, and set on springs to relieve pressure on the body.
BIRKENSTOCK is today one of the top five global footwear brands. The company’s historic roots can be traced as far back as 1774. Since the 1930s, Birkenstock has created orthopaedic footbeds by studying the anatomy of the foot and using natural materials and shape to stabilise it. BIRKENSTOCK became a global player by the late 1970s. Manufactured in Germany, the sandals are sold in 90 countries on all five continents. In addition to the legendary sandals, BIRKENSTOCK also has a growing range of closed-toe, children’s, and work shoes as well as specialist products for orthopedic retailers.
Palm and Tropical
From their lands of origin and from the botanic gardens, to the world of interiors and accessories. Palms, banana leaves and tropical fruits now also born and bloom on wallpaper, fabrics and leather, for dreaming an exotic and fresh summer.
Flamingos flying from interiors to fashion
REPETTO AND MOSAERT FLAMINGOS
The elegance of pink flamingos, after seducing the interiors designers, now is inspiring the fashion world.
Repetto is a true institution in the fashion industry and in the dance world and it is renowned for its unique process of fabrication: the “stitch and return”. Mosaert is an independent creative label based in Brussels whose main activities are focused on the music industry, the audio-visual sector and the clothing industry. It proposes a unisex wardrobe with joyful colours and graphic prints. The collaboration between both companies was born from the desire to offer a full outfit to the consumers by combining their specific skills: footwear an textile. The result: two pairs of shoes, unique and unisex, to complete Mosaert’s collection made of a t-shirt, a bomber, a knitted jogging pants and socks. As a reminder of the dance world, the collection patterns illustrate pink flamingos on pointe surrounded by greenery.
Metallic shades
All the trends of Interior Design for 2017 are full of metallic inspirations. Silver, gold, brass and copper nuances are used for wallpapers, fabrics, furniture and decoratives details. The same shining effect can characterize your spring pair of urban sneakers.
Inspiring Pink
The SS17’s catwalks saw the pink colour worn in every shade, from fuchsia to rose via peach. Both interiors and fashion designers put the pink colour at centre of their aesthetic.
Winter yellow
The reciprocal inspiration between the world of interiors and that of fashion. Both inspired by different shades of yellow.
Burgundy is back
Burgundy is one of the trend colours of this winter 2016-2017. It's a warm shade of red and it easily matches with blue, grey and black.
Blue velvet
An example of the reciprocal inspiration between the world of interiors and that of fashion. Same colours, same materials, same inspirations.
